Cuvent International has recently installed a comprehensive Mechanical Smoke Ventilation System at Massmart in Riversands, Gauteng.
Massmart is an African retail and wholesale group with widely recognised and differentiated formats, represented in 411 stores in 13 sub-Saharan countries.
Curvent International is proud to be associated with this well-known company. The objective of this installation was to focus on a mechanical natural and smoke ventilation system.
The scope of work for this 120 000m² warehouse:
Sixty Four (64) 1000 diameter 7,5KW smoke extraction fans complete with electro-mechanical Fire-X vertical discharge louvres. Controlled by Four (4) smoke control panels.
Eighteen (18) FXV-10 smoke vents for low level return make-up air.
Four Thousand Two Hundred (4200) square meters of Smoke baffles to divide the building into Eight (8) smoke zones.
