20 x Windows Electrically automated with an electro mechanical system connected to smoke detection. Windows to open in case of smoke / fire upon a signal from the smoke detection system.
The design specification called for a diverse system to be installed at the University of Mpumalanga –L003 Building, to comply to the SANS 10400 part-T and EN 12101.
Twenty (20) SE Twin Window Actuators are installed in two floors of the building, the system is controlled be two (2) SE OS2 Shevtec Control Panels. The primary system function would be to open the windows in a fire emergency situation, to allow smoke to clear from the building floor areas.
The SE Controller Panel was best suited for above said application and to the future application that would take place; the control panel can also monitor the internal temperature on the two floor.
