Powder coating comprise a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder. Unlike conventional liquid paint which is delivered via an evaporating solvent, powder coating is typically applied electrostatically and then cured under heat.
It is conventionally used to produce a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint. Powder coating is principally used for coating of metals, such as household appliances, aluminium extrusions, drum hardware and automobile and bicycle parts. (Wikipedia)
Powder coating is a optional material finish on most of Curvent International's ventilation products. The powder coating process involves three key steps.
1. Part preparation or pre-treatment
2. The powder application
3. The curing process
